Privacy

You are sending us video of your child. Here is exactly what happens to it.

What we collect, who else touches it, how long we keep it, and how to make it all go away.

Effective September 2, 2026. Last updated September 2, 2026.

The short version

This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and has no tracking pixels of any kind. We do not sell anything to anybody. The only information we hold is what you deliberately send us in an email, plus what Stripe needs to take a payment. Video of a child is never published or used in advertising without your explicit permission.

What we collect

Almost everything we hold, you typed into an email and sent to us on purpose.

  • What you email us: your name and email address, the swimmer's first name and age, how long they have been swimming, what worries you, and anything else you choose to write.
  • Video and photos you send or link us to.
  • Payment information: handled entirely by Stripe. We see that a payment succeeded, the amount, and the email address used. We never see or store your card number.
  • Ordinary server logs kept by our host, including IP addresses, as happens with any website.

The inquiry form on the home page does not send anything anywhere. It assembles an email and hands it to your own mail app, and nothing reaches us until you press send in your own program.

Video of a child

This is the part that matters most, so it gets its own section.

  • Only a parent or legal guardian should send us video of a child. By sending it, you are confirming you are that person.
  • We use it for one thing: watching it to work out what is going wrong, and marking it up to send back to you.
  • We will never publish it, post it, use it in advertising, or show it to anyone outside Aqua Rush Academy without asking you first and getting a clear yes. Silence is not a yes.
  • We do not use it to train any artificial intelligence system, ours or anyone else's.
  • You can tell us to delete it at any time and we will, without asking why.

What we do with it

  • Watch the video and write your diagnosis.
  • Email you the answer, and reply if you write back.
  • Take payment, and keep the records we are required to keep for tax purposes.

We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We do not send marketing email to people who have not asked for it. There is no mailing list you get added to for buying.

Who else touches it

  • Stripe processes payments and holds the card details we never see.
  • Netlify hosts this website and keeps ordinary server logs.
  • Google Fonts serves the typefaces on these pages, which means your browser requests font files from Google and Google receives your IP address as part of that. This happens on page load and there is nothing we send them about you.
  • Our email provider carries the messages between us, the same way it would for any email you send anyone.
  • If you upload video to your own Google Drive, Dropbox or iCloud and send us a link, that file sits with that company under their terms, not ours.

Cookies and tracking

There are none. No cookie banner, because there is nothing to consent to. No Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no session recording, no advertising tags. If you check this page in your browser tools, you will find nothing storing anything about you.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a Do Not Track signal. We neither honour it nor ignore it, because there is nothing for it to switch off: we do not track you, and we do not let anyone else track you across this site either.

If you live in California

So do we, so this is close to home.

California law requires us to tell you how we respond to Do Not Track signals, which is the section directly above, and to let you ask what personal information we have shared with anyone for their own direct marketing. That answer is none. We have never done it and we do not intend to.

We do not sell or share personal information, and nobody gets a different price or a worse service for asking us what we hold or telling us to delete it.

How long we keep things

  • Video: until your diagnosis is delivered and you have had a chance to come back with questions, and no longer than 12 months. Ask sooner and it goes sooner.
  • Email correspondence: as long as it is useful for supporting you, then deleted.
  • Payment records: 7 years, because tax rules require it. These live with Stripe and in our accounts, and do not include card numbers.

Deleting your information

Email us and ask. You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, and you do not have to give a reason. We will do it and confirm when it is done. The one exception is payment records we are legally required to keep.

Depending on where you live you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA. We apply the above to everyone regardless, because it is simpler and fairer than sorting people by postcode.

Children

This service is bought by adults. We do not knowingly collect information directly from a child, and children should not be emailing us or buying from us. Information about a child reaches us only because a parent or guardian chose to send it.

If you believe a child has sent us something without a parent knowing, email us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Payment is handled by Stripe, which is built for it. We keep the number of places your information sits as small as we reasonably can, which is the most useful security measure a business this size has.

No method of sending information over the internet is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise otherwise.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
